Wetlands

Wetlands create unique ecosystems that have special characteristics. Seasonal wetlands (wet for part of the year) are charging stations for an area’s underlying aquifer. Beyond this role, wetlands are weigh stations for migratory birds and other species. GSLC protects wetlands that have been either created or enhanced to make up for impacts elsewhere.
