Management of Preserve Lands
GSLC works with property owners, land managers, and others to implement agency-approved management plans for a specific preserve property. Whether those plans were established for mitigation purposes to offset development impacts or to meet specific regulatory requirements, GSLC has managed plans approved and/or implemented by:
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
- U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
- California Department of Fish & Wildlife
- Various Cities, Counties and Local Jurisdictions
- Homeowners Associations
GSLC preserve projects include both short- & long-term management of:
- Aquatic and wetland habitats
- Rare, threatened and endangered species habitat
- Riparian habitat
- Public and private open space
Most times, preserve land management requires special skill sets to meet management objectives. GSLC has established professional resources in:
- Targeted species habitat management
- Natural communities management
- Restoration ecology
- Non-native species control
- Grazing management
- Hydrology and water quality
- Public access management
